NBYC - new race committee boat purchased!

We have made the purchase of a new Race Committee boat!  The boat is a 2003 Parker 2520XL  -  25’ with a Yamaha 225 4stroke outboard.  This model has a stern mounted outboard bracket which means the outboard and its controls do not take up any space in the cockpit.  It is used but only a couple seasons old, has low hours use and is very very clean and in excellent condition.  It is similar in design to committee boats being used by some of the very active racing clubs in the area such as the Mudheads, Cedar Island, Cedar Point, Fishers Island, etc.  We contacted other clubs prior to this purchase and will now go back to them again to take advantage of their experience before we equip our boat for RC use.  This boat is very handsome. It is typically used as a rugged no frills work or fishing boat.  It is well suited for our use.

 

We were only able to make the purchase of this boat, and not overspend the Committee Boat Capital Fund budget allotment, because of a substantial donation by the Bartlett Family Foundation which they designated for the purchase of a committee boat.  Their generosity is greatly appreciated.
