The Hospice announcement
below was sent out earlier. All the below still applies EXCEPT, due to
bad weather on the 12th, the date has been changed to Wed, July 19th. All PHRF, Come out and race whether or not you're
participating in our Wednesday Night Series. And guest boats are welcome! Spread
the word! Such a deal! Two Races in One! WEDNESDAY NIGHT SERIES RACERS Entering the Hospice race is optional
for Wednesday Night Series racers. We assume that not everyone will want
to donate to Hospice. Therefore, please feel free to race whether or not
you're entering the Hospice race too. Everyone participating in the
Wednesday Night Series will have their time around the course used to
calculate position and points for this race in the overall Wednesday Night Series, using the usual
NBYC ratings. HOSPICE RACERS Anyone wanting to race for the Hospice
trophies can "enter" by making a donation to Hospice.
Even skippers not usually racing in Wednesday Night Series can race! Race "Entry" Fee
is $100 per boat. Hospice Regatta Trophies will be given for A, B, Ensign, Note:
Ensigns also have their own "Ensign Jamboree" event on
August 5th.
That is a different event from this one and requires its own entry. Those who "enter" the Hospice
race by making a donation will have their time around the course used to calculate
position for the Hospice trophy, using their straight PHRF ratings. Wed Night Racers also
entering Hospice will get two results, one for the Wednesday Night Series and one
for Hospice. Each boat entered in the Hospice Race
will get a free T-Shirt. Additional shirts will be available for a
donation of $ 15 each. Also...there should be hats available ($TBD) as
well as Raffle tickets ($20 each) and September Cocktail Party tickets ($ 25

Wednesday evening, July 12th, BUT YOU MUST BE REGISTERED AND YOUR
ENTRY FEE PAID PRIOR TO THE RACE. No after-the-fact registrations.
