Just so
there’s no confusion – the Lightnings are racing on Sept 2nd
also. As they do not race Wednesdays they were not mentioned on the
notice below but we want to be sure that’s not intrepreted as meaning
they are not going to race. Matter of fact – any class is welcome
to race!! If there are enough Opti’s, Lasers or other group we’ll
find a way to fit them in as well. If the fleet captain will just send me

) so we can plan please. Wednesday Night Racing on Labor Day Sunday, Sept 2nd.
2:00 PM We are going to schedule a final fun race for the Wednesday
Night Fleet on Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. This will be for J24’s,
Ensigns, and the Div 1 and 2 Wednesday Night PHRF fleet. (Atlantics will
be doing the already scheduled Labor Day Series.) Even if you
didn’t race Wednesday Nights you’re welcome to participate.
If you haven’t raced Wednesday Nights please advise Harlan Fredericksen,
Dave Peterson or Hunt Foster prior to the race (ASAP please) so we can assign
you to a class and give you a rating. Sailing Instructions, classes, etc
will all be the same as Wednesday Nights – just the starting time will be
changed. Starts will be as posted on the committee boat and will begin
right after the Atlantics start at 2:00 PM. This will NOT count towards the Wednesday Night Series but
will be a stand alone event. Results will be announced. Awards are
to be determined. (Don’t expect anything too fancy.) Please pass the word to your crew and to any who don’t
get NBYC email. |
